Local Radio’ was made at Akee Space for Culture based in a former school in the rural village Aleknaičiai, Lithuania. Michael Holland, Samantha Lippett & Rokas Steponavičius spent time with children from the Lyguimai Elementary School to record and sonically explore their environment through field recording and interviews. The final soundwork features the recordings from their days there, alongside Baltic folk music selected by Michael. ‘Local Radio’ was originally broadcast on NTS (UK) as part of the Onotesla monthly show on 2022.09.10 and in Aleknaičiai via. Palanga Street Radio on 2022.09.16.
